Toronto Entertainment District Business Directory & Marketing Blog

Everyone knows that The District is famous for entertainment. It’s also just as famous for its shopping.

What to buy first? How about tickets to any sports, concert or theatre event within The District? Your best seat in the house is only a charge card away!

And, if you are one of those who want to shop until you drop, one of The District’s most popular shopping areas is the underground PATH.

The city’s PATH is the world’s largest and longest underground shopping complex with more than 1,200 shops and services. (Really! It’s even in the Guiness Book of World Records.) This pedestrian walkway, filled with shops and stores, restaurants and bars, meanders under the city for 10 kilometres (or 6.5 miles).

Plus, you can also connect to the various subway stops if you get tired of walking. Just pick up a free PATH map and enjoy your underground shopping adventure.

When you wish to walk in the fresh air for the city’s fun and funkiest shopping, head above ground to enjoy the cool culture of Queen Street West. This is the (un)official ‘artist’ section of the city – where musicians, actors and trendy shoppers mix and mingle in cool cafes and trendy clothing boutiques.
(Note: It’s not mandatory to wear all basic black. But it sure helps.)
